Chronology
- 1981Born into an Ecchu-Seto pottery family in Tateyama, Toyama Prefecture. Her father is Yukio Shakunaga, her elder sister Yo Shakunaga, her elder brother Gaku Shakunaga
- 2002Graduates in metalwork, Department of Industrial Design, Takaoka National College (now the Faculty of Art and Design, University of Toyama)
- 2004Completes the advanced course in industrial design at the same college. Joins the model-making section of Mikimoto Jewelry (to 2013), studying under Kunihiko Akiba
- 2013Leaves Mikimoto Jewelry and begins working in Kanazawa
- 2015Kanazawa Mayor's Encouragement Prize, 71st Kanazawa Crafts Exhibition; Encouragement Prize, Takaoka Craft Competition, among other awards
- 2016Completes her traineeship at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop
