BARNEYS NEW YORK’s flagship store in Japan, opened in 2004 in the Kojun Building, which preserves the main entrance of the Kojunsha, a social club of the Meiji era.
An exhibition and sale in a pop-up store, bringing tiki’s work to the Ginza flagship store for the first time. Many new works were made for the occasion, and works of different sizes were hung symmetrically across an entire white wall on B1F. The paintings were presented with the wish “that children may one day fill their empty treasure boxes with the things they love”, and on five days of the event tiki explained the works to visitors in person.
